Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and compliance documentation.
- Supervise and support junior accounting staff when required.
- Handle month-end and year-end processes in line with organizational needs.
- Ensure compliance with Iraqi financial regulations and tax obligations.
- Engage with auditors, clients, and external stakeholders as needed.
- Drive financial improvements and strengthen internal controls.
Requirements:
- At least bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline (CPA or equivalent is a plus).
- At least 5 years of solid accounting experience (NGO or multi-sector experience is highly desirable).
- Deep knowledge of Iraqi unified accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Hands-on experience with accounting systems (QuickBooks, Zoho, Odoo, SAP, etc.).
- Strong communication skills in Arabic and English (Kurdish is an advantage).
- High integrity, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
